At the risk of doing my self no favours by bringing this beauty (in my eyes) to light on this forum (full of rich collector vultures ) I feel an irresistible urge to buy a friend for my G12 as per =

Ebay G80 = click here

Looking for comments on it, esp re the 600cc conversion ?
Does anyone know this bike ? (maybe the owner is on here ?)
Is anyone else reading this going to bid on it ?
Lastly, What's it worth !

all else apart it looks rather clumsily put together to me my personal 2p worth thats all
I reckon you'd need to be 6ft+ tall to be comfortable on it.

I am always puzzled as to why these sellers never tell you what the reserve is, once its set in the listing it cannot affect the bidding in any way other than to suggest its far too high?

Lovely looking bike. Not totally standard as he says. Can't understand the gearbox adjuster. It looks like the older type but the bolthead looks wrong and should be on the other side. I thought the later CS had 2 adjusters inside the gearbox plates simply bolted through the plates which pushed the box forwards. they aren't CS forks (not double lug on slider and not comp lock stops.) That's why hes fitted the after market mudguard bracket. Beautiful bike - it'll look great with your G12! Dave

You've lost me Ken, just read your post. I don't understand what you mean (except I never did like the high level exhaust, but that's how they were.) Also I would have to fit a chainguard. Dave

I too wonder what the reserve is, I think I will ask him (or her )

You reckon it's tall ? I am 6ft and the G12 is ok (now my hip is fixed !)

I too would fit a chain guard.

Now don't shout at me, but, I would mothball that exhaust and fit summat prettier (and less likely to fry my left leg !)

I like it, it seems to be calling out my name

very pretty, when did the duplex frame come into use no dating on the crankcase, was this stopped in latter years?, non comp lowers other niggardly bits but then depends on what you want and what your prepared to pay, b y the lord 'arry that is some lumpy front tyre, good news though about an eighteen inch rear, kind regards

its little things, like the fit of the rear guard, looks far high or the wheel is small, front guard is too close to the tyre to be serious off road; exhaust shape looks clumsy, obviously one from a place we all know. just doesnt look right.

others have mentioned the gearbox bolt, only detail, but still detail.

it all depends on your depth of pocket, nice enough bike but shorthouse Itma couldn't get on it, I don't know if riding a 600cc single on the road would be less comfortable than a pile driver, and those scrambles tyres would have to go, illegal and unsafe besides.

I thought scrambles tyres were an MOT fail? Not for road use.

Will you go and look at it?
I wonder what he really wants or is he flying a kite?

See, these are things newbies like me just don't know !

So it should go for much less than "book price" then
