Left hand oil tank, that account for the queer set of the exhaust.
It could make a beast of a bike, but I think you could do better for what this guy probably wants, you are paying for a lot of paint,
that said, it'll be your toy.
Not a lot of brakes for a 6ft bloke and a 600cc motor though.
for comparison heres a comp bike with a real history, still lots of money, and a long way away

non comp lowers other niggardly bits but then depends on what you want
Sorry, that's gone over my head, it means ?
Non competition sliders i think Ken means. Is a pretty bike but seems to be a bitsa, CS fetch a premium I hear but need to be right to command top cash like all bikes. Got to say not for me, don't like the scrambler style at all but you like it then I suppose it's worth whatever your prepared to pay for it. I'm with Ken on those guards though, rear too far away from the wheel and front way too close for an "off roader"
If you do go for it good luck.

not just the forks, there is an old engineers dictum
"if it looks right, it is right"
I am not putting that bike down, I certainly wouldn't be put out if you wanted to give it me prize, but to me there is something about it that doesn't sit right.
maybe its the camera angles.
Besides there's a lot of other bikes I'd rather have, given that sort money, my old Levis A2 for one.

very pretty, when did the duplex frame come into use no dating on the crankcase, was this stopped in latter years?,
The dating on the crank cases I think stopped about 1962, my 61 is dated.
The duplex frame was 59 or 60.
Being a 600cc would techincally make it a G85, it was noticed a few years ago that when used on long trips some owners had problems with reliability, and there was a suggestion made that as this was a competition/ race engine maybe it wasn't designed for long touring slogs but more for high work output for shorter spells then allowed to cool etc before being thrashed again and that might be what was causing the problems.
No direct evidence just a camp site chat in the middle of France one night, but then those chats often put the world to rights and solved several engineering problems!

Shorter covered rear shocks and 2 inches off the exhaust pipe would make a difference.
