My bike is well again

A big thanks to all for your advice on my kickstart problem. It was clutch slip. The steel plate had jumped out of its cradle. Put it back together again and its fine. Must have happened when the main shaft nut sheared. Its a testament to these bikes that it wasn't damaged!

Thats good news Jim, no costly repairs.
Myself and at least one other suggested you check that out, I know clutch slip was a cause of the fault found on one of my bikes in the past.
