Carb problem

Post by davegsx »

My bike as developed a new problem. When at half throttle it is fine as you open it up more the engine dies, if when riding you push down on the tickle button it will run, could this be the float sticking?
I have now got the amp meter fitted and working. still have a oil leak to trace.
Also yesterday while riding about the head light fell off, the clamp and screw have vibrated off, so i did a check over the bike, and the side cover screw as fallen off along with the one of the nuts that hold then umber plate on.
Can any one tell me where i can get the clamp and screw from? it is a Wipec light unit

Sounds like the carb needs a clean, try club spares for parts.

Undo the very bottom nut on the carb ( monobolc) to expose the main jet. Remove jet and clean. If full of crap then proceed to check filter on the banjo union and float bowl.

I went for a ride today to the Ace and no problem. Strange how things happen. I meet a member from here there, He owns a 350.
