before i enter all the numbers of my 1951 500 single 18s ajs would thay tell anybody anything?? like maybe a bitt of history ?? silly question i know thank's guy,s

If you post your engine, frame and gearbox number here on the web many club members have sufficient information to be able to tell you what these numbers mean, eg year of manufacture. But if you want some history you will need to send photos or rubbings of these numbers (plus a bit of money !) to Pat Hughes who is the club dating officer. She will look at the factory records and there is a good chance she will be able to tell you alot more - eg whether or not all your items left the factory together as one bike, perhaps on what date and where to.
