Kick Start quadrant spring

Has anyone found a modern replacement for the kickstarter spring?
mine is missing so I am not even 100% sure what I am trying to replicate.
My thoughts are a left hand wound spring, about a 3mm thickness of steel.
internal diameter of about 30mm and about 10 coils with an overall length of about 50mm.
Sound about right?
Cheers,
greg

I would not think a Burman part will fit a 1926 AJS gearbox

Thanks guys but I need a spring about twice that size I think.
the internal diameter of the spring needs to be about 30mm I think (judging from the mandrel)
I am going to give Martin Bratby a call, but time differences make things difficult.
An email address for him would be great if anyone has one?
Cheers,
Greg

You say you are not sure what you are looking for. No one else would have a clue if you do not even say what make year and model bike you want the spring for. Some one assumed you wanted a post war Burman gearbox KS spring. I assumed 1926 AJS . As your profile states you have a 1926 AJS. I am sure I recall you asking for advice, from this advice, you should had found this.

and this.

Please confirm this is what you are looking for, for a 1926 AJS, if it is, why not ask the prewar group, you will find prewar AJS owners close to you in Au & Nz that will know where to get a spring or perhaps some one will have a spare.

Yes thanks Rob, I should have mentioned it was for a 1926 AJS.
Am I not in the prewar group here?
Is there some other section I should be in?
I am a member of the Vintage Motorcycle Club of Western Australia and no one there has anything suitable.
