Any one know of this bikes early history,
Its a late 1966 machine that had probably been off road/stored since the eighty's.

Probably very late 1966. G80 discontinued Aug 1966, Sept.66 would had been the start of the 1967 model year.
A Wiltshire reg. no. Quite a lot of records survive. Try Wilts & Swindon History Centre. 01249 705500 They do actually sell listings of records. As far as I know, only 1903 to 1914 records for sale at the moment, cost £20. Not sure of a cost for your 1966 bike.
