Hello, I'm looking at buying what is advertised as a G80CS.

The engine number is: 56 G80 2217 CS
The frame number looks to be: 6535
The gear box number: GB 54 M60

Engine number looks fine, but I wondered if anyone can please let me know if the frame and gearbox numbers look right for a 1956 G80 CS. I understand that records for the competition models are not available and so any info would be gratefully received.

Looks OK apart from the gearbox. No idea what model/ year that number may be for.

Many thanks Rob, the bike hasn't been used for over 30 years but looks fairly unmolested. I'll post some pics when I've got it.
