Ah didn't realise that Dave. As long as the Gateshead bike has a 59 engine and barrels it should be ok then.
Kevin, looking at the way that rear carrier has been fitted (or not) I would be concerned if the owner has been inside the engine!

I am thinking about it and the more I do I'm leaning to Keep my B40 I have for sale as I know it so well and forget about the 31 but I will consider things for a little while longer.

Don't give up......AJ's are amazing machines, mine is growing on me all the time but I have kept my C12 also 🏍💨

I have got a model 20 500 twin and a c11g also my daughter has a G2 so not stuck for a ride out or tinker. I just fancied a nice 600/650 as well I will not give up on finding a nice on
