Yes, it is a bit frustrating not having anywhere to carry stuff. But I really don't like boxes on bikes so I just end up cramming it into a rucksack but that is not ideal either as my lock and chain weighs about 7 KG!!!

Not recommended Paul, if you fall off it could break your back.
