AJS 250cc, Sept 1931, plate YD3109

I am hoping that someone on this Forum might be able to help me locate a 250cc AJS motorcycle, first registered in September 1931, with the plate YD 3109.
According to DVLA website, this bike still exists, although it is not taxed for on-road use and there are no MOT details held by the DVLA. I am assuming, therefore, that it is in a collection or on display somewhere in the UK.
This motorcycle used to belong to my grandfather. I have a photo of him sat on it dated August 1934.
Although my grandfather is no longer alive, his son (my father) is, and if at all possible I would like to find the current owner and arrange for my father to be able to see the bike.
If anyone can help - or give me any pointers as to how I might narrow down my search for this bike, I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks, Andy Perkins.
