The 5 screws to secure the timing gear cover are 000482
The 4 short chain cover screws are 000455
The 2 long chain cover screws are 021383

Thanks yes, It is for my 54 18S, and I did take a look at the parts list, it's not clear to me the part number though which is why I was asking.

I got bought a selection of shim sheet through Ebay and plan to punch the shims to suit once I drop the cover off, refit with some soft electrical solder and measure the play.

If the engine is dismantled, there's no need for shims. The end float of both cams is easily set by moving the cam bushes in their housings. This is clearly shown in all the handbooks and is the technique I have always used, without any problems.
