Fork strip down

Can anyone suggest a link on how to strip the forks on a G2 cheers

Which type? G2 forks can either be Francis Barnett type or Teledraulic...

G2 has FB type lightweight forks. Other models have the heavier type forks e.g. G2CSR. Have you looked in your bikes workshop manual?

Sounds like you have FB forks. Look on p.62 of the link Rob posted - the overhaul procedure is all in there...
