Hi

I wish to lengthen an existing clutch cable as there is not quite enough adjustment available, to do this I intend to retain all of the fittings and the outer, (which has specific end fittings swaged on), and fit a longer inner. The existing inner is a 19 strand single bunch cable with a diameter of 2.25mm, (possibly 3/32"). I've been in touch with Venhill but they don't supply this size. Does anyone have any ideas of where else I could try? The internet doesn't seem to be throwing up much in the way of options, (or I'm using the incorrect terms).

Vehicle Wiring Products do 2.25mm 19 strand at 0.98p per metre.

Just got off the phone to JJ Cables who can also supply, (at a much better rate )

Its much easier and stronger to cut the outer if its long enough and push the end back on . you can do this without removing the nipple using dremel etc and winding the cut outer off the cable
