Shortcutting electronic ignition?

Hi
Just saw a nice looking "Anti-wet-sump-valve" that I might buy ;) .
The valve has got , not a cut out switch, but a short-cutting switch.
My question is now: Can I short cut the ignition when I dont use a magneto, but electronic ignition (Pazon).
Perhaps by shortcutting the primary lead to the ignition coils??
Regards Ib

I have now done the obvious :) : Contacted Pazon.
I will come back when I got an answer

Is your Pazon unit for distributor or the mag replacement version. I have a thorspark mag conversion which requires me to have a power cut out switch, in my case a key switch. Surely you can wire the wet-sump valve into the power feed to the switch so that it kills any power to the ignition system unless the wet-sump valve is turned out. Sorted.

Looks like the terminal connects to the body of the valve via the brass strip when the tap is closed - I can not see an earth terminal on the body so it will never earth through rubber oil lines and earth the mag to stop the engine from starting.
Does not inspire confidence in the product.
Valves with switches are sold by Andrew Dove who advertises in Jampot. As it is a switch the power to the coil or electronic ignition could be isolated when the valve is off.

Here is the answer from Pazon:
Hi Ib,

Thanks for contacting us.

Does the switch have two contacts, that close (short) when the valve is activated?
If so, you can connect the switch directly across the Sure Fire trigger wires (Y/B, W/B).
This will disable pulses from the trigger, and no sparks will be produced until the switch opens.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,
Andy Perkins

I will give it another thought :) Ib

Here's another thought. Do you really need one?
