That would be a Wolverhampton AJS. I am sure the club has no Wolverhampton factory drawings at all. However there may be a drawing available that is a new drawing, perhaps of the type that would programme a CNC machine to make the part. 100's of drawings were made by one of the prewar e group members. A have some of those drawing, but not one for an H8 crank shaft. If the person contacts me I can point the person in the direction where help may be found. prewar@jampot.com

Now I am getting confused.
What bike is this Matchless H8? I thought Matchless was a typo and the bike was an AJS H8 ( 1927 500 OHV ) There was no Matchless H8. Matchless only had an H and H/2 they were not 500's they were V twins. Is the bike in question that seen on Dec. VMCC mag front cover. Ridden by John Shaw. This is a 1929 AJS 350 OHC model M7. Really need to confirm what the bike is, before trying the find a crank shaft

It has been confirmed, my hunch was correct, the bike in question is in fact an AJS H8 not Matchless H8 as it first states. So now trying to put the person on the road that may lead to help making or find the part required. A lot of prewar parts do get made, you just need to know what at the time to get a part made. Latest parts now made are quite a few in fact, like 1920's valve and clutch springs.

Myself and other forum members could be puzzled by your answer, what is that got to do with the question asked?
The forum is there to help members not to post daft answers
