Hi do you have teledraulic forks like the G2CSR and G5 or standard G2 FB ones?

If you have the teledraulic type then there is an option of fitting a heavy weight front wheel hub and brake.

I have attached a picture of my Trail G5 which has had this mod. Reasonably straight forward.

Lets us know what forks you have.

I dont have any experience with the Francis Barnett type of forks you have on your G2 so cant say if a wheel/brake hub transplant is possible - sorry.

Improving the brake you already have sound like the best option
