"Can you remember the name of the firm in Ollerton?"

It was actually A.J Callandine's at Bilsthorpe near Ollerton. Tony Callandine must have retired by now I'd have thought but the company is still listed.
They did all sorts of refinishing including chroming and two-pack paint all of which was excellent even down to matching the original asymmetrical lining on the petrol tank.
