I think I have a problem on my AJS 30 CS, the left cyl. is much more hot then the right one. I have measured the heat and the difference is more then 200 degrees C. It is the same settings on both carburettors. Can it be an oilproblem?

Hi

What are the cylinder head temperatures? In my experience exhaust outlet temperature is around 250 degrees C, (measured with an IR thermometer pointed at the head just behind the exhaust pipe outlet).

My first point of call would be the one that differs most from this - what does relevant the plug look like, does it support being weak, (hot) or rich, (cold)?

Regards Mick

As Mick says check the plugs. Could be ignition timing out or a carb with wrong jets / settings.
Has one of the exhaust pipes 'blued' ?
