Please can anyone identify where this 45 degree grease nipple fits on my 1949 AJS model 18 . It was in the box of odds and sods that came with my basket case. it is not the usual 45 degree nipple but is a solid block with a 45 degree slope
with the nipple on the slope. I have photographed it but for some reason the file will not add.

The only places with a grease nipple are two at the headstock and one on each wheel hub. Pt No STD - 51.
I've not seen an angled headstock nipple so maybe it's for a wheel to facilitate access with a grease gun. My '47 Model 18 had straight nipples on the hubs.

The file is probably too large.
