Identification of G2 Lightweight

Hi All, I am a new member from sunny Wales who recently purchased a 1965 Matchless G2 Lightweight.
It came with a logbook and the engine and frame numbers match.
This is where all things are getting confusing. The more I read the more I think it is a mismatch.
Can anyone clarify which model I do have and which parts are original to this motorcycle.
I will post some pictures to help with the guidance.
Any help would be really appreciated and make an older but young at heart motorcycle enthusiast happy.
Kindest Regards Roger.

Tried to add pictures lol. :headbang:

Hi

You can apply for a dating certificate which will tell you how the bike left the factory, it's only £10 for members and is a nice addition to the bike's records - details are in the front of the Jampot mag.

Regards Mick

Thank you very much Mick.
I will definitely apply for that and if I can get pics up that will assist me in making the right decisions for the correct parts ( fitted )

The G2 was discontinued in July 1963. The bike is probably 1965 G2 CSR see it in sales cat. above.
This may also help. http://archives.jampot.dk/book/Owners_m ... Manual.pdf

Hi Rob, it certainly looks like the CSR in the above link
As for the bottom link, It confused me with the forks and yokes until I saw the second set with the same as mine.
At least I know what I am looking for.
Mudguards, seat pan, exhaust and tail light bracket to name a few lol.
Thank you both for the prompt and invaluable information
Regards Roger
