Hi. I would like to repaint my Atlas twin barrel with engine black mat paint. Has anyone got any recommendation please?

Hi Mark, I always use K2 Brake Caliper Spray paint. Totally resistant to petrol.
It's available on ebay. Dont think they do matt black but I think the gloss black looks much better.
All the manufacturers say that their one is petrol resistant but they arn't.
K2 is also usable upto 260 degrees C.
Put the cyclinder in the oven for 20 mins at around 60 degrees C before spraying.

Thanks. I was just looking to see if someone said I used "Simoniz Engine Enamel Spray Paint" and it was fantastic or some similar make?

Hi Mark, if you go for an enamel, before spraying the cylinder , if it were me I'd spray a piece of metal, let it dry then give it a rub with today's " modern" petrol & see how it affects it.
Nothing like being disappointed afterwards.

I used Simoniz Engine Enamel. It worked really well and seemed to last fine.
