Re: original carb
Amal monobloc 376 1 1/16" No3 slide main jet 210 pilot 30 needle jet 106 and needle in middle notch Club No. (376/17) tell them what jetting you require and they'll set it accordingly.
All this is assuming that the head is as per spec from the factory.

55 G3l has a 376 monobloc carb, pre monobloc carbs are for the years earlier.

Re: original carb
If it was manufactured after Sept 1st 1954 (i.e. after the factory annual holiday shutdown) it will be to 1955 specification. 1955 was the first year that Monobloc type carbs (the 376) were fitted to the 350's. If it was first registered any time in 1954 your V5 will show 1954.
Your engine number shows it as a 1955 engine which would be correct if the bike was manufactured after Sept 1st 1954.
You can get details from the factory records (prob the original engine and g/box nos) by using the club's Dating service here:

Re: original carb
Hi
Unless you intend to fit an air lever and cable you will have to remove the air slide, spring and brass tube. Blank the adjuster with a blob of silicon sealant, easily removed if you decide to fit the choke assembly in the future.
I prefer to have the choke as it allows the mixture to be varied as the engine warms up.
Regards Mick
