Cast AJS tank badges

I've just bought myself a pair of 1952/1953 stylee AJS tank badges from the club. Now then, fitting them: are they supposed to bend to match the shape of the tank, or stand proud, remaining flat? :?

It's a) a long time since I've seen another bike in the flesh, and b) likely to be a long time until I do see one.

I have some original ones and they're curved to match the tank.

Hi, What is the best way to bend the 52 AJS plastic tank badges, without doing any damage, so they fit the curve of the tank? The ones supplied from the club are moulded flat!

Something wrong here. 52 AJS tank badges are metal, 3 gold letters joined together with a bar. You just bend them to fit the tank. Plastic badges from '54 on are already curved to fit the tank with backing rubbers.
