Are there any members near Runcorn that could help a member experiencing problems with his charging system on his 1960 lightweight . Please message me if you are local and willing to help . Symptoms are battery loosing charge from fully charges condition within a few days . must be a discharge on the system even with a new battery.
Initially I would like to find someone local that I can explain the circumstances to , before I pass on your details to the member
Experience of lightweight electrics would be useful

Re: Electrical /charging system help wanted near Runcorn
Hi
I have a G5, what I found was, if you are using the standard resister wire and rectifier the rectifier will leak power through it and drain the battery. What I have done is use a electronic regulator rectifier and have a cut out switch on the power cable that I use to stop any power drain through the system and is a bit of security.
Cheers Wayne
