I am nearing the end or the resurrection of my 1947 G80 project but do not have a suitable pre-monobloc or monobloc carb to hand to use but do have a NOS 28mm concentric that has sat on a shelf since the 1980's. I will need to upgrade the plastic bits but also need a reference starting point for jets and throttle slide etc, is there any first hand experience or guidelines anyone is able to share for an iron head 500?
The original carburettor was Type 89B, 1 3/32", Main Jet 180, Slide 29/4, Needle Position 3, Needle Jet Std.
