The Sex Pistols had yet to be on TV with Bill Grundy when my current front tyre was fitted.....

The British Rubber Manufacturers Association advise tyres should be used within 6 years of manufacture. The tyre should then be removed after a total of 10 years. Avon recommend tyres should be used within 5 years of manufacture. The tyre should then be removed after a total of 7 years.

OK, time for a new front tyre. Current one is a rock hard 3.5" Avon SM MKII which has always made getting the wheel off a pain, as well as making the centre stand a bit hit & miss. Going to try the new Avon 3.25" squidgy version, and up the pressure.
