Barrel compatibility

Hello all again. My barrel is marked G3L-EI and the newer number code is 011052. The bike is a 1947. Will a barrel marked 013791 work in it's place. They look identical to my eyes but could be from a later year. Thanks very much for help.

Hi Simon, barrel 013791 is for an alloy head engine your 1947 engine will have an iron head, different head gaskets are used on these and I am unsure if you can get an adequate seal mixing and matching.
