Coil ignition auto advance extraction

Hi all , it’s ages since I had to extract the auto advance unit on a coil ignition bike and I can’t recall how to do it ?

Manual says to use the extraction tool ?

Do I recall you put a longer screw in the centre hole ?

That's right, it's a screw with a plain extension on it. I think you can use a short piece of rod with the original screw.
