1947 350 HW which plug?

Post by boris »

I've been using champion N5C as a plug without issues but looking at the owner's club spares pages it lists the following

Champion L86C (L10): 1941-46 350cc with iron head
or
Champion N5C spark plug: 1950-63 all singles with alloy head
or
Champion L82C (L7) 1945-46 500cc with iron head, 1947-50 all models with iron head

The description for the L82C is a tad ambiguous but I think It covers my bike. Can anyone confirm this is what I should be using as I must admit I thought it odd that the threads on the N5C were longer than the thread in the head.

Thanks

It would have been a Lodge H14 , the equivelent is L82C ( owners manual for 1946 and 1948 )

1/2 reach
14mm thread
Gap 0.020" - 0.024"
I run a L82C in my 1946 G80 without issues
