Recommendations for magneto rebuild

I am looking to get my mag rebuilt and would welcome any recommendations for who does the job. I have had a few quotes and some seemed ridiculous.

One name that often crops up on the Real Classic website is a guy called Tony Cooper 0121 5592405. I've just sent my K2F to him - so here's hoping!

I had my Mag for '49 G80 done by the second of these three, my dynamo by Sean Hawker. Both still going well.

The Magneto was done within 4 days in time for the 2004 Jampot, The dynamo took about 3 weeks...Edited by - Samuel on 29 Mar 2007 6:05:40 PM

Which ever you choose, ensure that he does all the work in house. I had one done locally, and he sent it away for the rewind, it took four months the excuse always being 'it's still with the rewinder'

Same deal with gunsmiths and sadly many other trades.

as above tony cooper is the man, just snet mine to him, he has just come back from a long holiday and hasnt got to much work at the moment.. the last mag i had done by him cost approx 130
