Heavyweight Vs Lightweight

Post by Brian 54G80S »

Hi,
very new to the AJS Matchless scene but just purchased a 1954 G80S here in Brisbane, Australia.

My first newbie question is can anyone define heavyweight V lightweight for me please?

Secondly, does anyone know of any good Matchless engine repairers/rebuilders in Australia. Ideally, in Queensland.

Thank you.

Welcome, Brian.
There are a couple of guys in Australia who post on here so look out for them. (I've tried to find them for you by using this website's 'Search' facility but it doesn't work for country of residence).
There's also the Australia section contact listed in the link below who may be able to offer advice on engineers and suppliers etc.
