Hi Frank
The club doesn't do any teflon inserts for the taps but i have in the past purchased teflon sheets in the past and made some.

Hoi Andy, thanks or the info, doe you now the thickness of the sheet? I can buy some or purchase a rod of PTFE or POM and make them on a lathe.

Hi Frank
Checked today but cant find any of the sheet i used it was nearly 10 years ago and have given the garage and workshop a big clean up over the Covid Period so it may have got thrown out.
I don't have any of the taps either to disassembly and check so i can't help on this one sorry.
Perhaps take your tap apart and have a look inside as i can't remember what was inside as it was so long ago.

I put in a set of neoprene tap washers some 10 years ago (I think they came from Jampot Spares, but they made operation of the push/pull slide difficult. I replaced the R/H side with cork washers, which I replaced with another set this year after a lengthy lay-up. Both neoprene and cork work fine, and I still have neoprene on the left, cork on the right, and no leaks. I would stick to the club's cork washers, they have worked well for me over several years. Just make sure you keep them wetted with petrol all the time - if they do dry out, you can refresh them by soaking in boiling water for a couple of minutes. Andy

Boiling water trick did not work for me but its easy enough to make your own from a wine Cork. Oh how I miss all those corks I threw away now the bottles in my price range all seem to have screw tops!

Don't think so Clive... Even the dearer wines have the reconstituted corks now.
You need Champagne to get a nice bit of solid cork! 🙃
