How rare is this?
Hi All,
A guy living over here was put in contact with me by a Brit friend who works at the Wheels Through Time museum, a fantastic place. This guy was interested to know how to learn more about his deceased father’s bike and attend meetups, swap meets etc to talk with like minded folk. He has imported the bike to the USA and sent me a pic of the bike in almost unbelievable condition.
Of course I gave him details of our club and urged him to look at the website and join the club so he can access the mine of experience and help that would be available to him from the club and all of you. He says his father also owned AJS and other bikes and was a club member, not sure if our club or not.
The bike is a Matchless 250 R…….of 1927 vintage, unrestored and rideable! What do you guys think of it? I think it’s great. Steve

What a wonderful machine! I would just wipe it over with an oily rag and use it . Super .

A chum has had a 1927 AJS 350cc H4 for around ten years which has been off the road for a few years for a complete engine rebuild after the c/case was busted by the shock force when the bike ran over a pothole.
