I had the same problem and I seem to remember that I found some Yamaha shoes very similar and modified them but I can't remember which model.

If you mean 'Cable' adjuster then yes, "modified". It's so long ago now I cannot remember what was done.

From using the 'Search' facility I see in an earlier post Joker Bones mentioned getting new shoes from here:

There are at least 2 types of 5 1/2 inch shoes. I found that the pair for the front brake on my 1938 AJS K12 were worn out but found they could be directly swopped for the later type with a mushroom adjuster having no adjustment facility themselves. Not sure if they are the same as the wd type which were fitted using a castellated adjuster. I used to have a pair of the wd type as well but may have passed them on already. Should be able to check it out on Tuesday.

Well it seems I have just the one type or the rest are hidden some where. I have just the one of the later type which take the smaller mushroom (the other one in the pair broke some time ago)
If you can find the other one in the pair you are welcome to it.
They do fit the wd type drums as I have them installed on my bitsa.

It will need relining.
