Electronic Ignition 1960 M31 CSR

Post by CalvinE »

Hi everyone. Looking to see if anyone knows of someone in the North Yorkshire. Teesside area who could fit an electronic ignition for me. Happy to pay. Just a bit beyond my skill. If you could message me any info that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks .

They are pretty simple to fit. Have a look at the fitting instructions for the two types shown in my reply above.

Years ago I thought about this but stuck with the SR1 magneto; it works well especially with the BrightSpark Easycap. I did have the mag renovated after it's decades of service.

I find the divorce between the lighting system and ignition system reassuring as I only have a dynamo and wouldn't want to rely on that.
