When I took it off I found that one stop had sheared and bent though 90 degrees so the stand was almost falling off, which explained why it had been getting progressively harder. With Rob's stand fitted it's now the easiest bike I've owned to get on the stand.
+1 for these. I've fitted them onto 3 bikes and it transforms them.

dave16mct wrote: Thu Jan 11, 2024 12:21 am CS (comp) models had a gearbox adjuster on both sides (outside the engine plates) to stop movement in competition. The (Easy on) centre stands are available from Rob Swift (AJSComboman) and I can recommend them!
Dave.
Aye Dave,
My 1960 G12 CSR has but one adjuster, between the engine / gearbox plates and behind the gearbox. I have a photograph of this but seemingly can't add to this post.
Will make contact with Rob Swift for the stand, thanks.

That's odd, I can see him in the list of members, joined in October.

Aye Groily,
Thanks for the reply.
Having retired several years ago I’ve gradually scaled back on club membership for cost saving hence will have to remain with Guest status on the Forum, I'm a skint pensioner and a Highland Scotsman to boot !
