You can buy these carbs new from either Hitchcocks Motorcycles in Solihull or Surrey Cycles in Cranleigh. You will be looking for the "Pre-Monoblock" 276/76 type, but the old carb will tell give you these details. Both suppliers will deliver a carb set up for your particular model, given the details are included in your order.

For a G80 the carb was an 89 which is not available from these suppliers as far as I can tell. Either have it refurbished or go for a later carb, Monoblock or even Concentric Mk 1 of suitable dimensions.

If you decide to use the monoblock, set it up as the 1955 G80, which used this type.
For a concentric, use the BSA B44 or other single of similar displacement as a guide.
Using either of these should put you very close & you can fine tune as necessary.
Cheers, Don.

Samuel is totally right. The type of the carb is 89B/1AK and it is quite rare. I was lucky to get quite good used one from UK, thanks to Rex. Before that I was having 928 Concentric in my AJS and it worked really fine. I think it is all the same which carb you use as long as the size is close to original (1 3/32").
