My brother-in-law would love to hear the fate of his 1959 Matchless G9 he took with him on emigrating to NZ. It was part exchanged for a car in Auckland in 1962 and had an unusual solour scheme red with cream mudguards and side panels. The UK Reg. would be meaningless as would the N.Z. eqivalent as I am told the plates are changed annualy.
It's a long shot, but worth a try!

Needle and hay stacks come to mind what about engine or frame numbers for starters.
Chemists do it with test tubes

you could start with the New zealand section
of the club, there details top bar, club, sections

Does he still have any details of the bike i still have the original buff log book with my bike. it gives previous owners details.
the reg no and import information could jog a memory if the bike still exists and belongs to a club member in NZ
