My brother-in-law would love to hear the fate of his 1959 Matchless G9 he took with him on emigrating to NZ. It was part exchanged for a car in Auckland in 1962 and had an unusual solour scheme red with cream mudguards and side panels. The UK Reg. would be meaningless as would the N.Z. eqivalent as I am told the plates are changed annualy.
It's a long shot, but worth a try!

Needle and hay stacks come to mind what about engine or frame numbers for starters.

Does he still have any details of the bike i still have the original buff log book with my bike. it gives previous owners details.
the reg no and import information could jog a memory if the bike still exists and belongs to a club member in NZ
