AJS & Matchless Owners Club

Hello everyone.
I have a matchless G2 1958 need help with the painting of the petrol tank.
It was black with silver striped but I do not know where.
Does anybody know an image of the original painting?

Page 57, in Roy Bacon"s "Matchless and AJS book and I quote,

" The first lightweight model G2 appeared in this form"

This picture gives a good and clear view of the bike and it"s tank.

Because it"s not coloured I cannot comment on the Silver stripe...but looking at the picture I wonder if the Silver stripe had a gold edge to it..... someone else may advise.
