swinging arm bushes

Post by mikeydpippin »

Sorry if this has been repeated a few times i have looked over past posts,Today i have recieved my swinging arm bushes without the tube that is driven through them.I notice the bushes have a silver outer shell over the bronze bush.Is it a case of warming my original silver outer shells to remove them(the bronze bushes came out easily) and do i need to renew the tube.(the original is slightly rusted. I thought the tube was part of the set.I guess the bronze lip on the new bushes sits inside the eyes of the swinging arm against the frame.

Thanks Eamonn usefull Link,I have managed to remove old and push new bearings inner and outer into swinging arm,and i have ordered a new tube (£16) I thought the tube was included in the swinging arm kit complete (Silly me).
I will be heating the "bridge" and freezing the tube next, must get the wife to practice the run in from the freezer to the kitchen LOL.
