Used tank sealant from Jampot Spares. Works great and gives you lovely colour petrol for hundreds of miles

You need a clear in-line filter to appreciate it!

I used petseal, found it worked. Just follow the instructions word for word, oh and do it somewhere where it won`t cause a divorce.....the conservatory isn`t a good idea `cause it stinks....for ages afterwards!! And it permeates door/window seals leaving the whole house smelling foul.
Best leaving it `til the warmer weather, unless you have a room heater as it takes ages to cure otherwise.
Good luck, basketcase.

I have used both Petseal and the Club version, both with good results.
Petseal is a two part, or was, pack which when mixed needs to be used immediately, and cannot be saved. The Club version, Wassell I believe, just needs tipping in, and will keep in the tin for several years after being opened. I'm still using the Wassell one for other purposes four years after first using it.
