Fibreglass tanks can be a bit tricky, as it is very difficult to judge the condition of the fibreglass from photos. If I were you I would request very clear and detailed photos or maybe look for a steel or aluminium tank.

It's just, this tank is comp. style, black, right state of patina, though the price seems to climb a bit now.

What are you going to do with the tank Lasse, if you are selling your bikes?

I might as well improve it and make it easier to sell, not loosing money on it :)

Maybe I'll improve it so much that I keep it.

Found the link btw. out of stock, wrote them a mail

Being a cynical old sod, and having seen it all before, you will never get your money back on what you pay for the tank.

But it might be easier to sell.

Remember the tank I have now has a huge dent and chipped paint.

This will be cheaper than a respray!Edited by - Lassenc on 28 Mar 2008 11:37:34 AM

Hi lassenc,
before you buy it, check with Jim at JSL. Last time I was there he was negotiating the manufacture of new ones at an advantageous price!
Could be a safer move and even more attractive to prospective bike buyers.
