Does anyone know a good brush on high gloss black paint that will look like powder coating finish,only i have some scratches on the paintwork, and one piece had to be replaced so is not painted at all.

Tekaloid is THE brush paint
whether it will match your existing paint is another matter.

I have just started experiment with Tekloid, it is very black and shiny, so much so your powder coating may look dull and grey! It is slow to dry so you can correct mistakes but that means it can collect dust so a clean environment is essential. I believe that it takes some skill to apply well, I am unfortunately currently lacking in that department (and a few others) but I believe it is worth persevering with.

Black Hammerite smooth is another option to consider if you are just touching up chips etc, but it does tend to lose arguments with petrol.

I find Hammerite smooth is tolerant of petrol once it is fully cured, and I'm talking weeks. It does tend to chip easily, and it's not a 'black black', alongside an original AMC finish, or indeed 'Tekaloid' it has a definite greyish sheen.
