Which clutch cable from the Spare's List (chapter P) do I require for my 1960 AJS model 16 350cc single(AMC box etc).

Various clutch cables listed but don't know wot the "suitable for numbers" are referring to:...

'Suitable for' refers to the part number in your spares book. In this case it is 026250, so you look down the cable list and find 'suitable for 026250' and lo! turns out to be T750.

Thanks for the help. Didn't realise the number 026250 was the "old" number for the clutch cable and that T750 is its replacement..as it were. A glance of course at the Bruce Main Smith spares thing makes it very clear. As if it wasn't already... Thanks again anyway.

Hi Ian
It is very unlikely to be wrong for a recent bike like yours. It may need a slight adjustment but most likely not.

I bet it fits!

I've heard rumours about such careful people, plannin' ahead'n all, but nuthin' to do with us ! A piece of wire in the pocket together with the fag paper for adjustin' the points should do! Edited by - TommoT on 16 Jul 2008 06:37:10 AM
