Front chain adjustment G2

Hi every one ,
How do I adjust my front chain? This is what it says in my instruction book. “Lift the cowling to expose the gear box adjuster bolt. Slacken: Nut on left hand side of gear box top fixing bolt. Two clamping straps bolts. Adjust chain by means of adjuster eye-bolt and two nuts.” Does it mean to slacken the two clamping strap bolts as well as the gear box fixing bolt? And how do you get to the adjuster nuts with the rear chain guard fitted? To remove the guard you have to remove the clutch. As part of the guard is bolted to the plate behind the clutch .

Cheers Dave

the whole gearbox needs to rotate, to adust the chain here,
you will need to slacken both straps and the top bottom mountings then use the eyebolt to go back or forth.
Unless your bike has been misassembled you should be able to get to those nuts.
You might need to dislocate all fingers and use a rubber spanner tho'
Its one of the lightweight joys.

Thanks itma, I managed to do it by only dislocating 3 fingers, so bloody awkward to do but got there .
