I'm currently rebuilding a model 14 which has quite a decent seat. You could borrow it as a pattern.

Forgive my ignorance but would it fit a Model 8? If it does then I would be most grateful.

I don't have an AJS parts list, but the Matchless G2/G5 spares list show the same seat for both.

for the info of others seeking a seat, my mate has got a complete seat and \i have been in contact with Richard about it, just awaiting a decsicion as to whether it is required and if so the logistics of getting it to Mssrs Leighton, lateral thinking, they will probably be at Stafford this weekend, can anyone can take the seat from the Folkestone area,? it must be undrstood that it's not mine and must be returned as found so to speak, kind regards
