Hello All, I hope somebody can help me.
When I fit the clutch centre on to the splined shaft it wobbles about, when i tighten it with the spring washer and nut it locks the lot up against the gearbox, should the centre shock absorber be tapered, the shaft splines are good I have fitted new rollers cush rubbers and three new clutch studs and nuts, the studs fitted were female thread with quite a big headed 1/4 inch thread bolt, could the centre be off another make of bike all the bits i have got from Jampot fit and look like AMC,it was also fitted with five friction plates and six plain plates according to the book for my year there should be one less of each.
Thank's Alex.

Surprised no-one has replied t this? it was a regular topic a while back.
It sounds like the female splines and/or the back of the clutch centre are worn. If they have been loose and moving it does a bit of damage.
Luckily, JSL do them!

If your new rollers are 1/4x1/4in, they will lock up the clutch. They should be a few thou less than 1/4 in long, common on many British bikes. Cheers, Don.
