AMC torpedo sidelights.
Info for club members owning bikes that have these fitted. Having recently 'lost' the lens and rim from my 1954 G80S sidelight I have had trouble finding a replacement. These are also fitted to Austin A30/A31, Morgan and Bristol cars, and do come up on e-bay now and then but are often in doubtful condition and often go for a high price. However, they are available new from Holden Vintage and Classic on www.holden.co.uk Tel: 01885 488911. Their on-line brochure is extensive and these lights are on page 26. You may well go weak at the price, but if all else fails they give very good service.

Another good source of spares is the Austin/Morris spares supplier :-
http://www.bullmotif.com/
They can supply the lens & gasket at a very reasonable price.

The side lamps were also used on Jags.
I brought a Jag set very cheap years ago and gave the Jumbler the chrome parts they fitted in back. He was surprised at that, even more so when I told him the lamps are also used on a motor bike.

They were all chrome on Austin & Jag. They also had a chromed Seating that sat in a cutout of the car wings.

The lamps are fitted on a threaded tube (through which the cable passes) which is fastened into the headlight with a nut.
