Engine oil
Hi can anybody inform me of the correct modern day engine and gearbox oils to use in my G12 650C.C. MANY THANKS

Whats wrong with using the correct grdaes of oil?? Basicly, use a non detergent oil.
Only use a modern or detergent oil if you engine has been stripped down and totly cleaned inside.
If you have not got a clean engine a dertergent/modern oil will loosen all the muck. By modern I guess you mean a multigrade oil. As most of the old bikes used 30 winter 50 summer I guess a 30/50 oil would be OK. But remember not to use detergent oil. You may get probs with modern oil additives, so why chance it, stick to what was recomended when the bike was new.
